CFDs Made Simple Reviews
Find Out What Others Have To Say About 'CFDs Made Simple'
We have been priveledged to have worked with some of the greatest educators and traders over
more than a decade working in the industry and many of them have been kind enough to leave their valued comments on
our latest book CFDs Made Simple.

This book is a must have for any CFD
trader...

I get many questions about CFDs and indeed CFD trading can be both
exciting and rewarding, but the can appear complex at first sight.
It democratises access to global financial markets and is one of
the best ways to trade. But I have seen many would be traders fall
at the first hurdles and struggle to understand where they went
wrong. Knowledge is the key to success but good information is hard
to find. There are many sales men peddling get rich quick schemes,
which leave you with little knowledge and a lot light lighter
wallet.
I have known both Ashley and Jeff for a long time having worked
with both of them. Ashley is a fantastic educator who has taught
many new traders when we worked together at CMC Markets. He always
received great feedback and produced many of our best education
tools when CMC Markets introduced CFDs to Australia.
Jeff has already produced one great book introducing CFDs, one of
my favourites. We ran a number of education events around New
Zealand and used to receive great feedback from the clients, I saw
many of these traders use the techniques that Jeff talked about to
become successful traders.
I was really pleased when I first heard that Jeff and Ashley were
getting together to write ‘CFDs made Simple’ and it was no surprise
to me to see a great result. This book is a must have for any CFD
trader and great for both beginners and the experienced trader. I
would highly recommend it to all traders as it covers everything
you need to know yet is simple and easy to read. CFD trading can
bring great rewards, but like all things in life you need to invest
in learning the ropes and this book is a great way to get
started.

This is a great starting point if you are considering the world of
trading CFDs. It is easy to understand and not full of

Importantly, Ashley and Jeff discuss the risks in trading
CFDs as well as the opportunities available through
preparation and discipline.
To gain a balanced and comprehensive overview of trading CFDs, I

You could not find a more experienced pair of CFD traders and

forefront of the CFD market since it was first introduced in
Australia. To have their collated wealth of experience put to
paper, and succinctly outlined in this book, is an opportunity to

Opened the door

opportunities...

|
I have been trading shares and various derivatives for the past 20
yrs. Over the past 8 years I have been intrigued by the befits of
trading CFD’s, however for a long time I found myself sitting on
the side lines not getting actively involved due to a lack of
understanding.
Recently I came into contact with the book “CFD’s Made Simple” by
Ashley Jessen & Jeff Cartridge. This was a turning point for me
as it opened the door on a whole new world of powerful trading
opportunities.
'CFDs Made Simple' has managed to cover every relevant
aspect of trading CFDs, answering all the questions one
may have and offering well planned insights into how to grasp the
process and mechanics of trading CFDs.
I have found this book to be the most complete, informative
and intelligent work on CFDs available, taking the reader
through all vital steps to a thorough and practical understanding
of CFDs and successful trading.

The publication of this book could not have been more timely. It is
clear, concise and effective in its presentation and accompanied
with very practical advice and tips, and explains difficult
concepts in a very plain and comprehensive manner.
With CFD trading becoming more prevalent and investors continue to
struggle with clear understanding of CFDs, this book provides an
excellent guidance and reference for those who want to learn more
about CFDs and excel in it. The authors have shown
themselves to be true experts in this area who have gone through
many years of hard work through different market
conditions.
It is a must have collection for new as well as seasoned CFD
traders! Readers will be greatly enlightened by the
wisdom imparted in this book.

the authors
know about the psychology of trading - the pressures and the

|
|
|

Successful CFD trading requires...effort, discipline,
market knowledge, the right market attitude - and, importantly, a
solid grasp of the mechanics of CFDs. The book takes
you through the workings of CFDs, trading methodology and what you
should look for in a CFD broker.
Being independent traders and coaches themselves with many years of
trading experience, the authors know about the psychology of
trading - the pressures and the pitfalls. This book
can teach you how to trade CFDs and the basics of
technical analysis and demonstrate how proper risk management can
make the difference between success and failure.
What I liked about the 'CFDs Made Simple' book is that it
is so well laid out. Everything is clearly explained
in plain English, which I think is important. So often in
specialised trading books like this, a lot of terminology is used
that the average man in the street doesn't understand, for it's not
clearly explained, if at all. This is definitely NOT the case
with Jeff and Ashley's CFD trading manual where there is great
emphasis on ensuring that the reader understands the mechanics of
CFDs.

income
generation requires a positive expectancy...
|
|
|
|
CFDs Made Simple is really not simple at all. It is a comprehensive
guide to a power tool available to traders. As with any power tool
you need the skill to use it effectively or you may end up
hurting yourself.
In this book Ashley and Jeff have provided an objective,
informative, well-round and unbiased information about what you
need to know and practice to make use of this trading tool. For
example Chapter Five covers the importance of Trading Plans. Like
any business venture that is going to be profitable consistently,
trading requires thoughts and documentation of these thoughts.
As Ashley and Jeff describe in this valuable book, income
generation requires a positive expectancy.
The book is a good balance between facts and figures: the
calculations you need to master the software you can use, and the
psychology of trading: determining your goals, setting your course.
Overall this is a must-have book for traders who wish to
harness the power that Contracts for Difference provides in share,
index, commodity and foreign exchange trading.

CFDs Made Simple by Ashley Jessen & Jeff Cartridge...Finally
someone wrote a book on CFDs we can all understand...10 out
of 10.
If you want to be successful trading CFDs then this book is a must,
even for the experienced trader. The message is loud and
clear in Chapter 5, you’ll agree with me I’m sure when you read it
that this message alone if implemented will be responsible for your
success and if not implemented your failure as a trader.
The examples used are so straightforward you will be able to
implement them immediately into your trading plan.
I liked the easy to understand everyday comparative explanations
used to help the reader understand very clearly the point or
explanation being made along with regular tips throughout each
chapter which actually helped summarise the points you have
just read, this made comprehending and clearly
understanding each chapter so much easier.
The authors have achieved what they set out to do and have made it
just that, simple, easy and clear to the reader that
this is not a complicated subject, they have taken the time to
understand that their readers require a simplified
explanation on the workings of Contracts for Difference
(CFDs) and they have delivered trading.

Having worked with Ashley from 2004-2007 on various education
projects at CMC Markets it’s refreshing to see him putting his
passion into teaching people about the markets onto
paper.
When I first met Ashley his keen interest for the markets was
obvious and he talked at length about his strategies for the US
European and Australian equity markets, and in return I introduced
him to the vibrant world of Foreign Exchange. The impact of this
was clear when it became a large part of his trading
portfolio.
Ashley taught me to abide by a set of rules and to have
clear goals, whilst utilizing an effective trading plan. I
now use these principals every time I place a trade and it has
undoubtedly proved beneficial for me.
He is an excellent presenter and if you get the chance to see him
speak live – I would highly recommend it.

they have a
great and easy to follow business plan with targets and
timeframes.
|
|
|
|
One of my definitions of genius is someone who can take a
complicated subject and explain it in a simple and effective way so
that anyone can understand it. In this book CFDs Made Simple,
Ashley and Jeff do just that.
Trading may well be one of the most challenging things you will
undertake in your life but once you master it, it will be
one of the most rewarding.
If you only ever read one chapter in one book about trading let it
be the chapter about a trading plan in Ashley and Jeff’s book 'CFDs
Made Simple'
As you may know many businesses fail in the first 12 months, the
ones that make it through the first 12 months increase their chance
of success many fold. The businesses that do succeed have one thing
in particular in common, they have a great and easy to
follow business plan with targets and time frames. Trading
is exactly the same. In my opinion a trading plan is the most
important tool in your trading strategy. It gives you the ability
to make decisions quickly and without indecisiveness when the
pressure is on.
Investing on any level is risky even putting your money in the bank
can be risky in some circumstances just look at the people who lost
their entire wealth in the last depression when some banks lost
everything. A good and successful investor is the investor who can
find a way to mitigate their losses and a well thought out
trading plan will allow you to do just that before you get
into a position of being in a drawdown and will give you rules to
follow rather than trying to decide what to do in the moment when
you are in an emotional state. I can guarantee you if you don’t
have these rules in place before you start you will lose
money.
Whether you are a novice, beginner or already a full time
successful trader this book will be an important tool in your
arsenal and I recommend you read and re read it as many times as
you can to gain a greater insight into how you can glean
more profits with less risk from this rewarding but very
challenging vocation.
Gentlemen thank you for taking the time and effort to publish this
genuinely knowledgeable and informative piece of
writing.

CFDs made simple! Great name isn’t it, and the reality is that
trading CFDs is simple after the first half dozen or so years. I
started trading CFDs back in 2000 around the time I first met Geoff
and a little later Ashley. We all had one thing in common a desire
to trade and a desire to do it now, the other thing we had in
common was that we all worked for the same firm which gave us the
ability and time to work our individual trading strategies out by
bouncing ideas off of each other.
Take it from someone who knows, trading is a really easy thing to
get into, in my line of work we see it all the time. Guys ring up
and say I want to trade CFDs do you do that? We say yes and ask if
they have traded before and if so do they have a plan? The answers
nine times out of ten are scary!
As a result they do not become our clients.
Trading for a living can be, if you don’t do it in a disciplined
manner, be the same as owning a boat, something you pour money into
and a couple of times a month it gives you something
back.
It is for this reason and the fact the Geoff and Ash are not only
my good mates but also great traders, that I cannot
recommend this book highly enough. I know that their book
will drive home the fact that discipline and planning the trade is
everything. Couple this with the strategies of building your CFD
trading business (yes it is a business) and the fact that they take
you through the journey of getting that first trade on from
A to Z and you have every chance of getting it right more
times than not.
Once again I cannot recommend Geoff and Ashley’s book to you highly
enough. I also recommend you read it taking notes then read it
again, and remember there is no such thing as too much
knowledge.
